It’s been quite a season!

We’ve been deeply saddened, amazed, and impacted by all of the events that have taken place across the world these last couple of years.

Maybe you are feeling nervous, anxious, or a little unsettled right now.

Could you use some hope & encouragement?

Here are some Encouraging Bible Verses and Truths for an Anxious Heart

First, of the Bible Verses for an Anxious Heart – God will ALWAYS take care of us!

Are you a worrier?

It’s easy to become a person who worries! The Lord Jesus knew this and addressed it in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 6.

Throughout about 9 verses, He says these words three times, “Do not worry…”

I think He must know how inclined we are to fret and be anxious over things. He then reminds the crowd (and us) why we need not worry,

“And why do you worry about clothes? Look at the wildflowers in the field. See how they grow. They don’t work or make clothes for themselves. But I tell you that even Solomon, the great and rich king, was not dressed as beautifully as one of these flowers.” Matthew 6:28-29

In other words, if God takes care of the flowers, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!

What a great reminder!

Second, of the Bible Verses for an Anxious Heart, God will STRENGTHEN our hearts when we wait on Him.

Sometimes WAITING & HOPE have a hard time fitting into the same sentence.

When we have to wait, we can start to lose heart.

This verse says, “I would have lost heart unless I had believed THAT I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13

If you are losing heart in the waiting, ask God to give you back that confident expectation and assurance that He is ABLE!

“And He shall strengthen your heart.”

Third – Failing DOES NOT make you a failure!

Fourth, of the Bible Verses for an Anxious Heart, Redemption through Jesus Christ wipes away ALL SIN and sets us FREE!

Do you have one of those songs that you love to hear over and over?

You know, that song that makes you want to turn up the volume and sing along?

I LOVE the song, “Redeemed” by Big Daddy Weave.

I can play it over and over; the words deeply minister to my heart.

Colossians 1:13-14 tells us, “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have REDEMPTION, the forgiveness of sins.”

Today, if you know Jesus, you can celebrate the fact that you are redeemed… completely set free!

Fifth – God is ALWAYS FAITHFUL and worthy of our hope!

“HOPE-lessness” can impact all of us from time to time.

Whether it’s that long unanswered prayer, that repeat sin, the ineffective chemo, a broken relationship, a financial need, or something else… we all battle to continue in hope.

Today’s verse is a reminder that GOD always IS FAITHFUL!

Abraham hoped against hope against hope. He hoped in God against all of the odds! “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” (Romans 4:20-21)

Will you hope against hope in God today?

Finally – NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING can separate you from God’s love!

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Dr. Adrian Rogers used to regularly say, “God doesn’t just love all of us. He loves each of us.”
