Women Living Courageously

Maybe you are wondering, as many have wondered, how Love Worth Finding and Hope Ministry come together to join forces and launch Women Living Courageously?

How did we get to this day?

Here’s the scoop: I’m one of those women who truly love women’s ministry.

Perhaps you do, too!

Truly, if you give me a group of ladies, some good food, an inspiring video, and some time talking about God’s Word, and I’m a happy camper.

Also, if you throw in a few road trips, conferences, and retreats, and I’m even better.

But, over the past few years, ministry to women has changed.

It’s had to change. Many churches don’t offer much or as much as they once did.

And the need for more virtual, online, and creative options has arisen.

That’s where Women Living Courageously comes in.

Indeed, we are here to:

  • Encourage you,
  • Support you,
  • Pray for you,
  • And offer you hope whether you can get to a local Bible study or attend a women’s retreat or not.

Absolutely… Our goal is to be the most inspiring online space for women — anywhere!

How Did We Get Here?

For the past 8 years, it’s been my joy to host Hope Ministry. I’ve spoken to groups around the US and online in several countries.

Our ministry has also:

  • Produced a website with over 300 encouraging articles. (melanieredd.com)
  • Written and published 8 books – which are all on Amazon.
  • Added encouragement to social media almost every day – for 8 years!

In addition, we email, text, call, and do Zoom calls with women around the world – praying for so many of these as we have the opportunity.

Last year, our ministry was praying the words of 1 Chronicles 4:10 and asking God to “expand our borders.”

While attending a convention in Nashville, TN, I was approached by my life-long friend, Bobby Lewis. He serves as the COO for LWF.

As he and his wife began to talk with me, he just casually threw out –

“Hey, let’s get together soon and talk about how we might partner in ministry.”

So, I started praying!

Two months later, I sat down with the team at LWF, and we began to dream about this possible new ministry.

  • What would it look like?
  • How would it be organized?
  • Who would we seek to reach?

One Other Special Note

My dad was on the pastor’s search committee that first heard Adrian Rogers in Florida and invited him to come to Memphis and be the pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church. Also, I grew up with four kids. His daughter, Janis, and I played basketball together.

Also, I spent time in their home – eating Mrs. Rogers’ healthy snacks. She was the first of my friends whose mom made bran muffins and put wheat germ in her cookies.

Additionally, it was my privilege to sit under the teaching ministry of Pastor Rogers, be saved through his ministry, and be baptized by him. He officiated my wedding ceremony and dedicated my babies.

Additionally, my husband and I served as pastor and wife on the Bellevue church staff as he pastored. We enjoyed so many fun trips, meals, and times with Pastor Rogers and his amazing wife, Joyce. Mrs. Rogers has been a huge encouragement to me as a pastor’s wife and as a woman in ministry!

That’s why it’s such a great PRIVILEGE to be able to partner with Love Worth Finding to bring you this podcast!

It’s the sweetest collaboration of all time!

I can’t believe I get to do this!

Remember, we are all just ordinary women, but we serve an extraordinary God!

I love listening to Pastor Rogers and LWF. I’m excited to see what this new ministry brings. You are absolutely correct that women’s ministry has been lacking or non-existent in the church in these last several years. It’s hard to get the younger ladies and the older ladies connected as one.
